Superstar Rajinikanth’s most awaited movie of the year was more than 5000+ screens worldwide which is the biggest release of any Tamil movie so far in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The most special thing about this film is that it will hit the theatres on Rajinikanth 64rd birthday 12th December. The audience from all over the world is very much excited and is waiting for the release of the film. This movie features Rajinikanth, Jagapathi Babu, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty and produced by Rockline Venkatesh under the production banner Rockline Entertainments and directed by K.S Ravi Kumar. The movie is already receiving overwhelming response from the audiences.
Eros International had bought the film from Rockline Venkatesh for 169 Crore (US$27 million), which includes theatrical and overseas rights for all languages. The satellite rights of the film were purchased by Jaya TV for Rs.32 Crore (US$5.2 million) movie also releasing in United Kingdom, Canada on 12thDecember 2014.
Lingaa Tamil action film is expected to break all previous records due to great fan following Thalaivaa and His Robot film was a huge hit globally and in Hindi language as well. The motion poster of the movie which was released few days ago received more than 1 million views on YouTube in a single day and Rajinikanth birthday has also added to the reason that why the film can have a sky touching collection. The first day occupancy of the movie is expected to be more than 95% in the morning and afternoon shows which is great occupancy for the first time in South Indian history. The first day collection of Lingaa is reportedly around Rs.30 Crore.
