Indian
handset vendor Xolo (a Lava International brand) has launched Xolo 8X-1000, a
new Android smartphone that will be available price in India Rs 13,999.
At the same
time Xolo also unveiled its new user interface platform called Hive, which is
based on Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with major visual tweaks.
HIVE features
customized UI elements including themes, a new launcher, widgets, customized
system apps that offer additional features and the ability to connect with
Xolo's software development team to offer feedback.
Xolo 8X-1000
comes with a 5-inch 720p display Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Xolo 8X-1000 is
powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat
with Xolo's new HIVE UI and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via
microSD card.
Xolo 8X-1000
sports an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, and comes with a 1,920mAh
battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi,
A-GPS and Wi-Fi Direct.
